Leavers Green Team is a ministry of Baptist Churches Western Australia and a proud partner of the WA Police. Green Team is responsible for the sale of the Leaver's wristbands for access to the Entertainment Zone which caters to over 9,000 Leavers each night. Green Team will be responsible for entertaining and interacting with the Leavers as they line up, Checking IDs to ensure that only genuine leavers can purchase wristbands and Sale of wristbands. We will be operating over 5 days out of Busselton and Dunsborough.

This year we are pleased to announce that Green Team will be also sending a team of volunteers into the zone each night and to Meelup Beach Day on Wednesday Morning. This team will be assisting with engaging with leavers and assisting to keep them safe.

This is a great opportunity to let your Light Shine and show God’s love.

We are planning on taking 50 volunteers including up to 8 leaders from our local Baptist Churches, local community, and all over WA!

Registration Fee:

- $120 early bird before 11:59 pm 15th August 2022
- $140 standard price post 15th August 2022

The registration fee includes the following

 ROLE DESCRIPTION

Focus: Supporting the Leavers under the direction of their Team Leader

Responsible for the operation of the area they’re in – looking out for and monitoring the safety of leavers, under the guidance and direction of the Team Leader and Team Leader Assistant.

Requirement:

-       Has a current WWCC, National Police Clearance or Volunteer National Police Clearance and supportive referees
-       Respects the beliefs of BCWA - understanding the missional aspect of Green Team
-       Able to work in a team in a high-pressure and stressful situation
-       Adapt well to change
-       Take direction from leadership

 

SAFETY CHECKS

Please note - if you do not already have a National Police Clearance we can assist you in the process of applying for one – you can register without this and we’ll commence the process with you once you’ve finalised your registration.  You must obtain a WWCC through your workplace, church or studies – this is not something we can sign off on for you as a volunteer.

This includes the below: 
-               Valid Working With Children Card,  
-               National Volunteer Police Check or Volunteer National Police Check (within the last 3 years), and a
-               Completed Leavers Green Team Waiver
-               Three references – local church pastor, member of your local church, employer, or lecturer

BCWA reserves the right to reject an application if the above criteria are not met or the applicant is deemed unsuitable after the reference check. If your application is deemed unsuitable you will be notified, and fees will be refunded.

 

Green Team Induction

It is a requirement that all volunteers attend the induction and training session – Wednesday 2nd November from 6 pm to 9 pm at Baptist Ministry Centre 21 Rowe Ave, Rivervale

 Refund Policy

Baptist Churches Western Australia understands circumstances change and offer the following alternatives to assist you should you need to alter your registration. Cancellations can be arranged by writing to Baptist Churches Western Australia – must be received thirty (30) days before the event. No refunds will be issued after this date.

A $30 cancellation fee will be incurred for registrations cancelled as per the above policy. Baptist Churches Western Australia can allow for special consideration of your circumstances in regards to this policy. If this is the case, please contact Baptist Churches Western Australia to discuss your circumstances.

We only ask for information that is necessary for the purposes outlined in this statement. In some circumstances, if you don’t provide us with all the requested information you could miss the opportunity to be involved in our program.
